Size of column-

RCC Column Reinforcement Details

👉Consider we have a column and the size of column is 9" x 9 ".

Reinforcement Details-

👉 In this column we will provide 4 bars of steel or you can say main bars or longitudinal bars.

👉Main bar diameter  should not be less than 12 mm.

👉 We use stirrups to hold the bars at fix distance 

👉 Stirrups bars be provide 8 mm and it should not be less than 8 mm diameter.

👉Hook's attach from the stirrups we calculate length of hooks with the help of this formula

length of hook's = 10 x d  d-dia of stirrups
length of hooks = 10 x 8 = 80 mm

we have to hooks so total length  = 2 x 80 = 160 mm

👉 concrete cover provided

👉 Distance of stirrups( c.c)  should not be more than 12 mm if structure is not heavy so it can be 14 mm.

👉we should use M 20 Concrete mix for this column.

👉 Height of this column should not be more than 12 ft if you wanna more height so you have to increase size of column and some reinforcement will be added
